Alexandra Frank is DT Global’s Director of Communications. In this role, Alexandra oversees both internal and external strategic communications and marketing, including branding, social media, media outreach, and content creation for DT Global’s US, Australia, and European offices.

Alexandra previously served as the Senior Communications Manager at Counterpart International, where she oversaw external relations strategy and implementation; raised the visibility of program in over 25 countries across Asia, Africa, MENA, and LAC; and worked closely with program staff to build and strengthen relationships with partners, funders, and the press. While at Counterpart, Alexandra was the recipient of the 2018 PR News Nonprofit Award for Best Blog Series for “Building Better Lives in Guatemala,” a seven-part series showcasing Counterpart’s food security work in the Western Highlands of Guatemala.

Prior to Counterpart, Alexandra founded and managed a communications consulting firm, Sheha Communications, which planned media tours and offered communications support to clients, including the Gates Foundation, Save the Children, and Johns Hopkins University. Over the last 12 years, she has worked for a variety of international development and global health organizations, including the U.S. Agency for International Development (the Africa Bureau and Conflict Management and Mitigation offices), the United Nations – International Strategy for Disaster Relief, and others.

What's the coolest thing about your job?

That I get to travel to amazing places and I get the privilege to listen to and tell the stories of the people we work with around the world. Growing up, I wanted to see the world, or be a novelist or a journalist. My job at DT Global lets me do it all!

What's your favorite place of all the places you've travelled?

Xai Xai, Mozambique. I stumbled upon this small beachside village when I was 19 and living in Africa for the first time. After growing up in New York, this quiet beach in the middle of nowhere had more stars than I could even imagine, and it was the exact moment that I realized how truly huge and magical the world could be.
