Ryan Archer has 15 years of international development experience working both in technical delivery and business operations. He currently oversees DT Global US's accounting, contract compliance, IT, and proposal cost functions as the Vice President of US Operations. Ryan joins DT Global from the legacy Development Transformations business, where he was Director of Business Operations. Prior to Development Transformations, Ryan was the Deputy Chief of the Operations and Management Division of USAID’s Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI) where he spent three years supporting OTI scale and build systems as the organization doubled in size. Prior to USAID he spent five years overseas as a regional field operations manager for anti-corruption programs in the Balkans, former Soviet Union, and South America. He began his career working with national political parties and youth civil society groups in Belarus for the International Republican Institute. Ryan has an MBA with concentrations in government contracting and corporate finance. He is married with two children.
What’s your favorite place of all the places you’ve travelled?
The Republic of Georgia is my favorite place to both work and travel. I have yet to find a place that combines both the promise of reform and transition of post-Soviet Georgia complimented by exceptional food, wine, people, and culture.
What was the last really great book you read? Why?
Michael Porter’s Competitive Strategy is a must read for anyone seeking to understand how to build and deliver value whether it be for a company or community.
