Shane serves as the Director of Security & Duty of Care for DT Global UK. In this role he has responsibility and oversight for all areas of operational security management, crisis and business continuity planning, and duty of care for all UK and international businesses. His wider duties and responsibilities include provision of operational security advice planning as well as the physical security of all facilities. Shane also evaluates, develops, and executes security strategies to support DT Global UK and its clients in a range of security arenas at strategic, tactical, and operational levels. He also conducts hostile environment awareness training (HEAT) for DT Global UK employees travelling to fragile conflicted affected states and is responsible for all Security and Duty of Care cross DT Global UK.

Shane served 24 years in the UK Armed Forces, specialising in sniping, but with a skillset in security, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, training, logistics, search, counter improved explosive devices, and covert operations. For this work he was embedded with numerous indigenous forces and deployed on operations globally. Shane reached the accolade of Sniper Platoon Commander, a post normally attributed to the rank of Captain. Having left the Military in 2012 he continued a career in Security both in the UK and internationally. He has conducted roles for high level clients delivering operational support, risk mitigation, project management, close protection, and security consultation all through a range of vertical markets which included aviation, maritime, financial services, US Forces, aid agencies, intelligence services, and the energy sectors.

Shane is a member of the Security Institute and has been involved with the Defence Industry Security Authority. He is certified in Security and Risk Management, holds certification from the Royal College of Surgeons, a Frontline Close Protection operating license from the Security Industry Authority, and has Developed Vetting.

What was the last really great book you read?

Lee Child (The Jack Reacher series) because he is awesome.

Do you volunteer anywhere?

Yes, at my local Foodbank; doing something good at home after so long overseas is so enlightening and very rewarding.
