DT Global has been engaged by Australia\u2019s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to manage the next phase of Australia\u2019s investment in strengthening the delivery of law and justice services in Papua New Guinea for a 4-year period to December 2027.<\/p>\n
APLJ seeks to contribute to PNG\u2019s law and justice sector capacity to provide inclusive, safe, secure and accountable law and justice foundations for peaceful and prosperous communities, equitable economic development and private sector growth.<\/p>\n
The program aligns with Government of Papua New Guinea (GoPNG) law and justice sector goal of \u2018building peaceful and prosperous communities together\u2019. APLJ will focus on three End of Program Outcomes (EOPOs):<\/p>\n
EOPO 1 \u2013 Community Safety and Access to Justice at the Local Level: Communities in target locations, especially women, children, persons with disabilities, vulnerable people and those accused of sorcery, have improved access to selected justice and support services.<\/p>\n
EOPO 2 \u2013 Law and Justice Services Supply: Responsible law and justice sector agencies increasingly provide selected inclusive, responsive, and accountable essential law and justice services in target locations.<\/p>\n
EOPO 3 \u2013 Leadership, Coordination and Accountability: Responsible law and justice mechanisms demonstrate improved sectoral leadership and coordination of national and subnational law and justice services and improved sector integrity systems.<\/p>\n
APLJ will have a strong focus on addressing gender equality, disability equity and social inclusion (GEDSI): this includes continued and strengthened attention to Gender Based Violence (GBV1) and strengthened opportunities for women in leadership, as well as increased focus on the engagement of persons with a disability and other particularly marginalised populations.<\/p>\n
The program will continue Australia\u2019s support to law and justice development in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (ARoB) as well as Hela, Madang, Morobe, Southern Highlands, Western and West New Britain.<\/p>\n
DT Global will work in partnership with Clear Horizon, an Australian-based advisory firm, to bring a robust Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Adoption (MERLA) methodology to assess APLJ progress and performance, drive knowledge and learning, and promote continuous program improvement<\/p>\n
The Australia-Papua New Guinea Law and Justice Program in Bougainville are supporting the court circuit for Atolls in Bougainville and seek the services of a passenger vessel to transport participants around several atolls in Bougainville.<\/p>","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"categories":[],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-9782","proposals","type-proposals","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
