María Garrón is the Managing Director of DT Global Europe, based in Madrid, Spain, and is responsible for overseeing all European operations. María previously served as Managing Director at AECOM International Development Europe.
María holds a Degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master's degree in International Relations and Foreign Trade (CFE Business School) and in Strategic Management and Social Leadership for Foundations and NGO´s (IESE Business School). After graduation, María started her career as a lawyer, but soon joined the international development sector where she has acquired over 20 years of experience in managerial positions. She has also worked as project director and senior consultant in more than 40 developing countries, and with a broad range of donors (including EuropeAid, IDB, WB, DFID, and Sida).
Since 2005, María has been a professor and lecturer for undergrad and graduate-level International Development courses in Spain and elsewhere (France, Bolivia, Romania), and has authored and co-authored numerous articles and publications related to development cooperation.
