Locally led development is at the heart of effective, lasting, positive change. DT Global Asia Pacific is excited to release its Locally Led Development (LLD) Framework, as a guide for our organisation and the programs we support.
There are four focus areas of our Framework: the first considers how we can play a role in incubating developmental leaders in the countries in which we work. The second tackles the cultural shifts that need to take place to enable and authorise local leadership. The third looks at the operational aspects of enabling LLD, from recruitment and remuneration to the way grants are administered. The fourth looks at the programming cycle and how LLD can be embedded in design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
In all our actions and activities there is potential to foster, amplify and come behind local developmental leadership – this Framework aims to support, motivate and align DT Global APAC’s efforts in doing so.
