Regenerative Agriculture Framework and Guidelines Development
Building regenerative agriculture framework and toolkit
Challenge
Our client’s sustainable sourcing certification program has delivered real progress across a dozen countries. As the company looked ahead to its next wave of ambition, it needed an adaptable outcome-based regenerative agriculture approach for its diverse supply chains and account for both environmental and farmer livelihood impacts.
Approach, Goals, and Results
DT Global supported the client through a phased process. We began with the goal itself, drawing on
peer benchmarking and internal focus groups across procurement, climate, biodiversity, and livelihoods teams, then facilitated leadership sessions to align on commitment framing, an associated metric, and a quantitative target that are both meaningful and achievable. We translated that into guidelines: a governance and process framework; a measurement framework defining what qualifies against the target; a monitoring, measurement, reporting, and verification approach; and a practical toolkit that can be applied across the various project contexts they will be working in.
