Mel serves on the Executive Leadership Team for DT Global though a global role focused on positioning DT Global as the market leader in the development and delivery of innovative, shared value solutions to enduring global challenges. Mel is an Adjunct Associate Professor (Industry) in the UTS Business School. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in the School of Political Science and International Studies at The University of Queensland.

Mel has more than 20 years’ experience in development assistance and has provided facility leadership/oversight, technical assistance and project management, program design and evaluation, teaching and curriculum development in Australia and overseas. Interests include innovation and entrepreneurship, and the integration of theory and practice to address complex social challenges. Mel maintains a focus on gender, and specifically the role of men in the pursuit of equality.

Do you volunteer anywhere?

I am a volunteer rural firefighter, serving as an Officer with the Eudlo Rural Fire Brigade as part of the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services.

If you could change something in the world, what would it be?

The complete eradication of all forms of violence against women and girls.
