Si bien el conflicto armado en Colombia, que se extendió a lo largo de seis décadas, se concentró principalmente en las zonas rurales, sus efectos se han sentido en todo el país. El impacto del conflicto ha profundizado y ampliado las brechas entre regiones, afectando el goce efectivo de derechos, el acceso a bienes y servicios públicos (infraestructura, desarrollo social, salud, promoción del emprendimiento, producción y oportunidades de empleo), y el acceso a una adecuada uso de los recursos naturales. El Acuerdo de Paz entre el Gobierno de Colombia y las FARC busca poner fin a medio siglo de enfrentamiento armado y promover elementos que fortalezcan la democracia, mejoren las zonas rurales y garanticen los derechos y el respeto a la vida de todos los colombianos.

In the wake of Colombia’s historic Peace Agreement, the European Union established the European Trust Fund (EUTF) to help turn commitments into lasting change. Backed by 21 EU member states, as well as the United Kingdom and Chile, the EUTF became a vital cooperation instrument for peacebuilding in the country.

DT Global played a key role in helping the EUTF grow into a strong and credible platform, supporting peace through three essential areas: ensuring sound technical management, strengthening monitoring and evaluation to track progress, and amplifying visibility and strategic communication to keep communities informed and engaged.

Resultado 1: Gestión Técnica

• Ensured the presence of the Fund across Colombian territories and supported dialogue with local partners, authorities, and civil society in the country's regions.
• Contributed to the effective and efficient management of the Fund's 31 interventions.
• Strengthened the conditions for the sustainability of the Fund's results and impact in the regions.

Resultado 2: Monitoreo y Evaluación

• Created an information and reporting system for the strategic and technical decision-making of the Delegation.
• Developed a strategy for knowledge generation and strategic capitalisation based on results that will guide future EU peace and reconciliation actions.

Resultado 3: Visibilidad y Comunicación Estratégica

• Contributed to the strategic communication and visibility of the contribution of the EU and its Member States to peacebuilding and the implementation of the Agreement.
• Developed a communication strategy that articulates the Fund's purpose, messages, and pillars and is adapted to the different target groups that the Technical Assistance intends to reach.
