Entrepreneurship is risky, and it’s especially challenging for women, who face legal and social restrictions and lower access to capital than men. As part of DT Global’s Transforming Women’s Lives Through Digital Technology Challenge, we looked at eight ways women can navigate these obstacles.

As part of our DFAT and MFAT-funded PHAMA Plus Program, DT Global is raising awareness on the causes and prevention of African Swine Flu through information on key biosecurity and animal husbandry practices—preserving livestock and quelling violent disputes at the same time.

 

Rehabilitating Freetown’s Water Supply

High quality and sufficient water supply is essential for human health and is key to climate change adaptation but is a huge challenge in countries such as Sierra Leone. DT Global is working to improve the water situation for approximately 600,000 people in Freetown, Sierra Leone by rehabilitating the Guma reservoir through our FCDO-funded Freetown Water Supply Rehabilitation project.

How DT Global Is Investing in Our Planet and Reducing Our Greenhouse Gas Emissions

DT Global is committed to reducing our carbon footprint. Since 2020, we’ve tracked our carbon emissions and in 2021, became a signatory to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to set science-based targets to lower carbon outputs to limit warming in line with the Paris Agreement goals. We are piloting greening initiatives in our field and corporate offices and have dedicated Green Teams across our geographies to mainstream environmental work in our projects and operations.
