Stuart Schaefer joined the Asia-Pacific office of DT Global in May 2021. He is currently DT Global’s Country Representative for Papua New Guinea (PNG). Since joining DT Global he has undertaken numerous corporate and project implementation roles, including most recently the Interim Managing Director of the Economic and Social Infrastructure Program in PNG. He has over 30 years of experience in international relations and development working for government, not-for-profit, and private sector organizations. He led the Australian government’s development assistance programs in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, and Afghanistan, with most of his experience working with countries throughout the South Pacific. He has also delivered government programs working with indigenous communities in the Northern Territory of Australia. On leaving government, Stuart worked as the Director of International Programs at Save the Children Australia before moving to the private sector.
