Ana Romero is an agricultural engineer who specializes in economics and food security and holds a master’s degree in development Aid and Cooperation. She has more than 26 years of experience, having worked in formulation, implementation, evaluation, and monitoring of international development projects and programmes involving agricultural value chains, agribusiness, climate adaptation, resilience, green jobs, and fair transition.
Ana has participated in the design and formulation of multiple projects and programs for various organizations such as EC, FAO, WFP, UNICEF, ILO, UNDP, AECID, IFAD, CIDA, the World Bank, the African Development Bank, and the Spanish Cooperation Agency. She has worked as both a consultant and as part of a company, with EU Institutions including the EC (DG-Agri, DG-MARE, DG-Research, EuropeAid) and the European Investment Bank.
Her technical assistance and project management experience includes the management of international development projects focused on agriculture development, agribusiness, support to value chains, small-scale farmers access to inputs under many different funders including the EC, AECID, WB, ADB, IaDB, FAO, ILO, and UNDP.
I would say Colombia. It is a very beautiful country with many different landscapes (Caribbean coast, forest, mountains, wetlands, etc.). People is very nice and the professionals are very good. It is a pleasure to travel there.
Sleep, read, play music, and sing (I’ve did official music studies when I was young). I also sing in a chorus and sometimes we have the rehearsals during the weekend.
