DT Global sometimes works in locations that are politically unstable and evolving fast, and this can influence our programming in unpredictable ways. So being able to adapt and respond to changes and new information is critical.
From 2017-2021 DT Global managed a local governance program in Myanmar. During this time two significant events — the global COVID-19 pandemic and the military coup of February 2021 — took place, heavily impacting what was possible and relevant on local governance.
As part of the program’s final output, a reflection paper was produced that applies DT Global’s adaptive management framework to assess throughout its lifetime how far the program was adaptive and what lessons can be drawn. This was written by Jane Lonsdale and Kelly Robertson who both worked on the program, together with the program’s critical friend, Duncan Green.
The names of the program, donor, partners, and national staff have been protected
