DT Global is proud to partner with and support a number of women-run and women-owned businesses throughout the Asia Pacific region and around the world. One of these incredible partners is Mamma’s Laef, supported by DT Global’s Asia Pacific office through the Scaling Frontier Innovation and Business Link Pacific Programmes, with generous support from the Australia Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) InnovationXchange and the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT). Mamma’s Laef is based in Vanuatu, a developing country with a population of 272,000, with the vast majority living on remote islands and operating at a largely subsistence level. Access to household products like menstrual hygiene products in this region is limited, and those that are available are all too often unsustainable, damaging to the environment, or cost prohibitive. Mamma’s Laef set out to change all that, providing menstrual products that are sustainable, accessible, environmentally friendly, and produced locally - simultaneously creating new jobs, building enterprise, and increasing sustainable incomes. Watch the video below to learn more about the important work that Mamma’s Laef does to improve lives throughout the South Pacific and the small role that DT Global is proud to play in this success.
On International Women’s Day and every day, DT Global celebrates the innovation, leadership, and impact of women and women-owned businesses around the world.
