Gerome Rich is the Chief Operating Officer for DT Global. Gerome has worked in International Development for over twenty years in a variety of roles. He has worked as a Team Leader on DFAT, and a joint DFAT-USAID funded project, as well as senior roles on FCDO and EU programs. He led Cardno International Development's (now DT Global) EMEA business, served as Chief Operating Officer for Cardno International Development, and was most recently Head of Operations for DT Global's Asia Pacific region. In field roles, Gerome has worked in a variety of sectors including HIV/AIDS, Education, Construction, Post Disaster Reconstruction, Mining Governance, Public Policy, Agricultural and Food Security, across Africa and the Asia Pacific. Gerome has worked on some of DT Global's largest, most complex, and politically sensitive programs.
What’s your favorite place of all the places you’ve travelled?
North and West Africa, which was the place that inspired my passion for the developing world. The place that started what was to become a career in international development.
If you were doing something else besides this, what would it be?
I am not sure I would want to work in any other industry, but if I did it would need to be something challenging, with scale, complexity and something that makes a positive impact.
