Michael is a committed and results-oriented Project Management practitioner with 10 years of experience in international development. He is well-versed in coordinating business development efforts that are aligned with donors’ requirements and strategies and in the management of impactful projects. Michael has managed long-term projects for donors such as kfW and the World Bank. Before joining DT Global, Michael held senior Project Management roles in the World Bank-funded Kenya Industry and Entrepreneurship Project (KIEP) where he designed and managed a technical assistance facility that supported the upgrading of at least 250 large companies in Kenya.
Michael is experienced in working in fragile areas having supported the US Department of Defense in the implementation of the National Maintenance Strategy Project in Afghanistan from 2018 to 2020. He managed Finance and Administration functions for project sites with over 100 staff. Michael is passionate in creating sustainable enterprises and does this through supporting development partners to design and implement capacity-building measures to strengthen the capacities of SMEs in developing countries.
