Sarah Bumbarger is the Global Communications Director at DT Global. In this role, she leads a team of communications professionals from across the company’s five geographic hubs to develop and implement the company’s external and internal branding and communications strategy. This includes oversight of external marketing, internal communications, executive visibility, thought leadership, crisis communications, creative, and capacity building. Sarah is a collaborative people manager who has worked for over 15 years to implement and communicate work that builds a better world.

What was the last really great book you read? Why?
The Possessed: Adventures with Russian Books and the People Who Read Them, by Elif Batuman. Batuman does not try to tone down her enthusiasm or clip her writing into anything expected (“the ideal of ‘craft’”), and in doing so, made something both interesting and deeply beautiful. As she writes, “What did craft ever try to say about the world, the human condition, or the search for meaning?
