On behalf of the Australian Government, the Economic and Social Infrastructure Program (ESIP) will soon invite tenders from suitably qualified design consultants for the concept design, detailed design and construction phase for the new Parliament Wing at the National Parliament House in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
This nationally significant project will support the future expansion of Parliamentary facilities through the development of a modern, functional and culturally appropriate addition to the existing Parliament precinct.
The services will be delivered in three stages:
1. Stage 1 Concept Design
2. Stage 2 Detailed Design, Tender Documentation, Early Contractor Involvement (ECI}, and Issued for Construction (IFC) Documentation
3. Stage 3 Construction Phase Services
Up to three design consultants will be engaged to undertake concept design development. Following stakeholder review and assessment, one consultant will be selected to progress as Lead Design Consultant for the detailed design and construction support phases.
The upcoming tender will be open to organisations that meet the eligibility and capability requirements set out in the procurement documentation, which is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
A Pre-Tender Notice document is available on request. This document provides an overview of the project procurement approach and anticipated requirements to assist interested firms in preparing for the tender process.
