The Australian Government, through the PNG-Australia Transport Sector Support Program, Phase 3 (TSSP3) implemented by DT Global, is supporting the Government of Papua New Guinea (GoPNG) to achieve a more effective, efficient, and inclusive transport system that supports the economic and social development of Papua New Guinea.
TSSP3 is currently supporting the Department of Works and Highways (DoWH) with the procurement, and management of the detailed design of Pangara Bridge on the Arawa-Buin Highway in Central Bougainville. The project aims to deliver a structurally sound, cost-effective and sustainable bridge that provides reliable year-round access for road users.
The initial site investigations have been completed, and the next phase is to engage a consulting firm to undertake the bridge design services. The scope of work will include concept and detailed design of the bridge, including a Bill of Quantities, cost estimates, technical specifications, and all documentation required for the preparation of a future construction contract.
On behalf of the Australian Government, TSSP3 is now calling for proposals from suitably qualified and experienced infrastructure design consulting firms to undertake the detailed design of Pangara Bridge. This tender is open to companies that meet the criteria detailed in the tender documentation.
The deadline for tender submission is 2:00 pm (Port Moresby time) on Monday 27 April 2026. TSSP3 will not accept submissions received after the deadline.
