What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

The Golden Rule of “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” quote from the Bible that always got mentioned by my Fifth Standard teacher, Fr Tom Downing, at St Xavier’s Godavari School in Nepal, still resonates in my head. I think it teaches me to act morally in every aspect of life, both for self-satisfaction, as well as to help others.

What is the one thing in this world you are most proud of?

The distance I have travelled professionally, the rich experience I gained along the way and the positive impact I have been able to have on the lives of so many. When I began my career in international development in Nepal, I did not imagine in my wildest dreams that I would arrive where I have today and brought so many colleagues and partners along. I am most proud of the fact that I have remained engaged in Nepal where my career began and have been able to continue to contribute to improving lives there and beyond.
