DT Global is excited to announce the hiring of Mr. Amit Bando, as Senior Technical Advisor for DT Global’s Environment and Infrastructure (E&I) practice. Under this role, Mr. Bando will provide strategic advice and thought leadership to current and future Energy and Climate Change programs and proposals managed by the E&I practice. He will also lead the establishment of best practices and standards for energy and climate change programming and implementation across E&I’s sub practice areas.
“Mr. Bando’s unparalleled expertise and experience in addressing the challenges and opportunities from the Climate-Energy nexus will be instrumental to achieving E&I programs’ climate and just energy transition goals,” explains Dr. Rodolfo Camacho, DT Global’s Vice President for E&I.
Mr. Bando brings over 30 years of experience leading international programs focused on clean energy, climate resilience, and water security. He is a proven leader, having served in both home office director roles for environment, energy and water, and as Chief of Party on multiple environmental resilience/adaptation projects in India, Indonesia, and the Kyrgyz Republic. Mr. Bando’s expertise is in project design providing results-focused, human-centered, market-driven, and science-based solutions. He specializes in projects focusing on urban and energy infrastructure development, institutional reform, governance, climate change, clean energy, water security, and forestry and natural resource management (FNRM).
Mr. Bando shares that he is “very excited to join the DT Global team at a time when we are engaged in addressing some of the most pressing issues of our times,” specifically “those related to climate change, energy security and access to water.” Mr. Bando hopes to develop meaningful data-based approaches to sustainable development, contributing to DT Global’s goal of positively impacting 500 million lives by 2045.
