About

Millicent is an international development specialist with a focus on health and market systems programing. Millicent oversees DT Global’s East Africa programs, and she is also program manager on a 12-year Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC)–funded Private Sector Partnerships in Health (PSPH) program in Somalia and Somaliland. She supports MSD training for new staff, business skills training for partners, and supports Strategic Action Planning and pharmacy networks development.

Millicent has provided technical expertise to DT Global’s several MSD health programs in the region including FCDO-funded Private sector Innovation Program (PSP4H) for Health where she supported the formation and scale of then, Africa’s largest commercial pharmacy network (Pharmnet) which had 1800 members across Kenya reaching 2.2 million Kenyans with quality and affordable medicines. She also set up and rolled out a functional Supply Chain (Pooled Procurement) system for Pharmnet members.

 

Do you volunteer anywhere?

I am a girls’ mentor at a rural school near the shores of Lake Victoria.

If you were doing something else besides this, what would it be?

A motivational speaker, advocating for education for all children, especially from marginalized communities/areas.
