As climate patterns change, the resulting increased stress on the environment and heightened competition over natural resources creates more frequent violent clashes between groups that require those resources for their livelihood or are competing over land use. In response, DT Global has developed a suite of resources and capabilities designed to identify and analyze leading drivers of violent competition over natural resources. This analysis informs our programming approaches designed to mitigate conflicts driven by climate change. Working at the local level, we implement strategic interventions that capitalize on windows of opportunity for resource-related conflicts to be abated or negotiated to a peaceful settlement.
