AIPJ3 aims to support strong and accessible justice and security institutions that uphold the rule of law and contribute to stability and prosperity in Indonesia and the region. The program facilitates collaboration between civil society organisations, universities, and the private sector with Indonesian justice and security institutions, generating progress towards the effective realisation of the reform agenda.
AIPJ3 will support justice institutions to develop and implement effective policies, plans, budgets and practices in agreed policy priority areas. The program seeks to deepen partnerships across the sector for mutual benefit, including between Indonesian and Australian institutions and with civil society.
AIPJ3 focuses on seven policy priorities that are mutually important to Australia and Indonesia: transparency and accountability, criminal justice reform, preventing violent extremism, addressing transnational crime, commercial law reform and climate change, access to justice for women, children and people with disabilities, and women in leadership.
AIPJ3 will contribute to the longer-term goal of stronger and more accessible justice and security institutions that uphold the rule of law and promote stability and prosperity in Indonesia and the region.
